OUR PROGRAMME

Through our programmes, AMEG harnesses the potential of youths in the arts (Film, Music & Fashion) Agriculture, Technology and Multimedia. We support them through mentoring, coaching and training programs so that they can realise their full potential in the aforementioned thematic areas.

PROJECTS:

Agriculture, Multimedia and Arts School Programme: Through this programme, AMEG intends to establish the AMA (Agriculture Multimedia & Arts) academy where formal and practical training in music, film, fashion, agriculture, technology and multimedia will be delivered to youths. This school will be established at our proposed Creative Hub for Business, Trade and Innovation.

Creative Hub for Business, Trade and Innovation: Members of the Creative Hub will be able to run their businesses in the shared space for two years and then leave space for newcomers. Simultaneously, they will be accessing courses in entrepreneurship (courses covering topics on setting up of business, cost management, accounting, marketing, writing up business proposals, etc.), entrepreneurial mentorship, financial services tailored to youths, etc and shared office equipment, that is;; access to high- performance common workspace: in which youths are able to use computers, scanners, telephones, fax machine, design hardware and software for the purpose of promoting their own businesses;; and meeting room: where youth would be able to use tools such as projector, interactive board in order to reach out to clients and partners to discuss business plans, and marketing. The Youth Hubs will play a crucial role as the nexus among entrepreneurs as they plan to, start, and scale up their businesses.

Art Village: AMEG will establish an art village that will consist of mud houses that will depict our cultural heritage before colonialism. These houses will be used for filmmaking thus solving the problem of searching for such locations that are gradually fading away. They will be built where our farms and gardens are and will be rented at affordable prices.

AMEG Farms and Gardens: AMEG already has farmlands that are over 50 Acres in Newton with plantations and we have started erecting two buildings there that will store our proceeds from the farms we have now which we are striving to massively expand to meet the country’s food production drive. We also have 2 hectares of unused land at Kori Chiefdom Moyamba District which we will use for rice, onions, potato, vegetables and fruit plantation. We want to make Sierra Leone a food exporting powerhouse by 2030

Bio-crops for Energy: We will be involved in Bio crops plantation which we will sell to biofuel companies for energy production.

Small scale mining: Our 2 hectares of land at Kori chiefdom is believe to some deposit of diamonds and if it happens to be true, then we will be doing some small scale mining to raise funds to support and sustain our many other projects.

My Music and Me: AMEG creates a situation wherein influential musicians and upcoming musicians reveal their positions on social issues by speaking out to their fans and making statements and participate in music competitions through music shows and events that will be organized every year across all districts in the country which will provide income for the musicians and AMEG
The Voice for Change: AMEG will work with musicians to do songs to promote social change, civic education and peacebuilding.

Film for Change: AMEG will work with filmmakers to do short movies and episodes to promote social change, civic education, peacebuilding and accountability. We will also be doing commercial films with the best international market standard that will not only give us income but also provide the expertise to help the Sierra Leone film industry compete at international level

Let us Sow (Leh we sow): AMEG will work with fashion designers to make designs that will resonate and promote social change and civic education in a live reality TV show that will give a platform to designers to showcase their designs and attract a new market.

Rice Centres: AMEG will engage with Govt. and development partners to establish four rice centres in four rice cultivation districts in Sierra Leone. The project will consist of the following:

-Office and Administrative building
-Indoor training centre with classroom/ conference hall facility
-Outdoor area for display
-Rice farms for Result and Demonstration activity
-Workshop for holding and serving Tractors and Implements
S-hed for Farm Machinery Bank for Custom hiring of implements

ACTIVITIES AT THE RICE CENTRES

Knowledge support (Training and information)
-Initial technical knowledge of agriculture equipment
-Training related operation of the equipment in the field
-Knowledge of basic maintenance and service of various equipment
-Detail training programs for local mechanics, ICT and Agriculture students
-Training related to modern agriculture practices
-Special Training on Mechanized Rice Transplantation

PR Services and Advertising: We do the production of the Real Talk with Elleen TV show from content development to videography, photography and editing. Our service to the public includes but not limited to audio-visual services for the recording of songs, jingles, podcasts, voiceovers and audio soap-operas, music videos, documentaries, event coverage (Video & Photos), commercial film production, write and compose songs, develop marketing and advertising contents for TV, website, social media and blogs

OUR OBJECTIVE:

Our overall objective is to create a synergy between the Agriculture Industry, the Multimedia Industry and the Entertainment Industry to enable a youth-led entrepreneur- ecosystem that will create jobs, empower youth businesses through our capacity development programmes, improve youth livelihood and enhance the country’s economic growth.
